Poppy is a concept clothing brand that celebrates the ironic dichotomy between the Roaring Twenties of the twentieth century and our comfortable stay-at-home lives of 2020. Through bold, hand printed fabrics, Poppy reinserts the fun, glamorous production of dressing up to go out into casual, wear around the house clothing.

Harkening back to some of the illustrative design aesthetics of children’s books of the 1920’s while keeping in mind the traditional standard for seamstressing as a woman of the tIme, this brand is also a nod to the female reclamation of the domestic sphere over the last 100 years.

The brand design for Poppy was a conceptual project executed in the spring semester of 2021 at PNCA.
