Hot Takes is a monthly publication that focuses on unique reviews of hot sauces from around the world. In this third issue from the 2021 volume of Hot Takes, they host a hot sauce square-off and attempt to settle the everlasting rivalry between Sriracha and Cholula. The overall design aesthetic and typographic direction was inspired by retro boxing posters from the 1950s while playfully including hand drawn illustrations for interesting visual texture.

The design for Hot Takes review reader was a conceptual project executed in the spring semester of 2021 at PNCA.
