In their latest addition of the Cardboard Chaos series, Ernest Packaging and Signal Snowboards teamed up with legendary skate shoes, apparel, and accessories brand, Vans. Together they created a limited edition, cardboard sneaker stressed tested by world renound skate superstars Tony Alva, Christian Hosoi, and Lizzie Armanto.
The creative challenge was to craft a design system that seamlessly blended the playful, colorful, and imaginative essence of the Ernest brand with the premium, high-energy action photography that highlights the craftsmanship of the Van’s product and the athleticism of its skaters. The final campaign rides on Ernest’s signature color palette and whimsical blob motifs, injecting the brand’s distinctive “magic” into an entirely new market.
